  • Ramsden Street FAS

    This scheme provides a standard of flood protection for certain properties up to the 1 in 100 year return period from Kippax Beck.
  • Glebelands FAS

    The scheme consisted of the creation of a new embankment and excavation of a borrow pit to provide additional flood storage within Glebelands Recreation Ground.
  • Barley Hill FAS

    The purpose of the project is to increase the existing flood storage area at Barley Hill recreation ground to relieve property flooding in a 1-in-100-year event.
  • Westfields FAS

    January 2018

    New road gullies and carrier drains have been installed in the Westfields area to drain surface water into the new bypass culvert.
  • Wyke Beck FAS

    Works on the Killiingbeck FAS are a combination of 3 elements: the Killingbeck Meadows Naturalised Flood Storage Scheme (KMNFS), Arthur’s Rein Re-Profiling and De- Culverting, and the Halton Moor Local Nature Reserve.

    We're working with the Environment Agency on our Flood Alleviation Scheme Phase 2 (FAS2) to help protect 1,048 homes and 474 businesses. We're focusing mainly on the developed areas along the River Aire, upstream of Leeds Train Station and Apperley Bridge.   • Mickletown Pit Lane FAS

    Part of the Leeds Flood Alleviation Works in the area of Mickletown, Methley. The objective is to provide properties in Mickletown protection against flooding from the River Aire to a minimum standard of protection equivalent to a 1 in 200 year event.

    November 2021

    In late 2021, the £4.5 million scheme was completed, and dramatically reduces the flood risk around the Wharfemeadows Park area from 20% in any given year to 4% in any given year.
